Bharat Bandh On 5th July 2010 | Bharat Bandh 2010
The bandh has been organised by the opposition to protest the hike in fuel rates and cost of essential commodities. The protest against price rise, but also trying to reach out to the saffron party’s traditional constituency, traders, to join the Bharat bandh on July 5.
The July 5 ‘Bharat Bandh’ to protest fuel price hike is unlikely to get the support of all non-UPA and non-NDA parties with BSP, RJD, LJP and RLD so far maintaining a silence on which side of the political divide they are. The Left and nonBJP opposition parties had given a call for a 12hour nationwide strike on July 5 to protest fuel price hike.
